2 weeks so far!

It’s been 2 weeks since I said “see you later” to my parents! Time has flown by, no pun intended. My time here so far has been blessed and so good. At the ministry house there are prayer watches that all of us girls have each night. We also have a Bible study every morning together before breakfast. The Lord has given me a heart to read and study His scriptures this week and it has just been amazing! There are youth meetings and discipleship meetings during the week, and good fellowship with people that are on fire for Him!

One adventure we had on Tuesday was….

Tuesday morning around 8 am we all loaded into one of the girl’s cars and drove to Tel Aviv (2 hours) to go shopping. As we neared the store, about 15 minute walk, our car started to smoke and we had to pull over. Praise God there was a bus stop right there on the edge of the road and one of the army men knew where a garage was. So 2 of the girls and I walked to the store, while the other 2 stayed with the car. It turned out to be a long day, because the car garage was in south Tel Aviv, a not so good place. There apparently was a dead rat in the garage, a pit bull and a prison and a morgue across the street! We were at the store from 10:45-6 p.m.! But thankfully, the 2 girls were able to rent a car to get us all home by evening.

PRAYER:

For health for everyone in the ministry. We have had some nasty colds going around.

For safety for us.

For safe travels for our ministry leaders, who are returning from Brazil this Tuesday.

For the Lord to open up the heavens and pour down His glory and love on us this week.

Here I am in the Galilee, all settled into my new home for the time being. It is beautiful here! I took a walk and only 10 minutes from the house is a spectacular view of the Sea of Galilee and the Jordan Valley.

The Lord is really moving here. The ministry house is an amazing place to be living at. Everyday there are Bible studies, prayer watches, worship times and fellowship with the local teens and children.

One thing that the Lord has been revealing to me through some of the Bible studies, is how much He loves us. He created us, and knew who we would become before we existed. So there is nothing we can do to surprise Jesus. Another thing, is just a reminder to love one another. It is the greatest commandment and one that I feel we overlook so easily because it is harder then it looks, yet with Him it is simple.

Please keep me in prayer for the Lord is open the heavens in the ministry here and for complete protection. You can also pray for 2 of the main leaders from the ministry here, who are ministering in Brazil until mid December.

A pleasant gift from God is a kitten who lives here at the ministry house. He is about 2 months old and is becoming a good friend

For the past week we have been in Jerusalem staying in a friend’s apartment. It has been amazing! We have met with many different people who want a harp from Harp’s for Israel. This has opened doors for us to meet with Orthodox Jewish people and worship with them! We also met with Messianic and Arab Christians living in the land. The Lord has been blessing us mightily while we we are here. One thing a friend said yesterday at dinner was, if Yeshua (Jesus) is truly first in our lives, then all we can do is fall more in love! After we talked about this I played the a song from a CD that my friends I made called Ignite, which talks about falling in love with Jesus. We all worshiped. This friend is a Jewish lady who is from the tribes of the Levites and Judah! Her phone is tapped and her mail is read, because she is a believer in the Land! Please pray for her to be protected! The Lord has opened doors for my family and I to meet extraordinary people like this on our trip.

Soon, this Friday, I will be saying goodbye to my parents for a “little bit”. Please pray for their safety traveling home. For those who don’t know, when we arrived in the Galilee last week we felt a strong leading from the Lord for me not go to Jerusalem right away but instead start up in the Gailee. So my plans for Jerusalem have been put on hold, until the Lord directs me. I move into the girl’s ministry house today and tomorrow…ack! Though, I feel ready now, it will be an adventure! I have peace and am excited to see what the Lord does in the coming months! I do have some pictures that I will be uploading soon!

You are all on my mind a lot, I am praying for you. Keep me updated with any news from home or prayer requests!

Lost= adventure!

So today we woke up and decided to drive near the Galilee and sit by the lake. Well, soon the plan changed as my Dad mentioned that he always wanted to drive to the top of one of the mountains/big hills surrounding the Galilee. We found a dirt road off the highway and took it, but to avail we had to turn around in a grapefruit orchard! Soon we were back on the hunt for the road leading up the mountain, but we ended up in a muslim town!! I had to put my sweatshirt over my head and we were praying…so we turned around! After about an hour of wandering we find paved road leading off towards a cliff and the Galilee so we take it. Soon, the pavement turns to gravel which turns to mud. We notice a cow standing in the middle of the road with big horns! And we notice a wild, huge pig! After about an hour or so of driving on this road we do make it a place with a beautiful view! We eat our pita, hummus and olives and enjoy the land. BUt we also see a wild animal that vaguely resembles a very large (about the size of a cat) rat looking thing!

Soon, we are back on the dirt road driving and we see 2 four wheelers, we’re not sure what to expect since we are in the middle of no where! But thankfully, the guys were friendly and told us how to get back to the highway! After nearly getting stuck on the road we finally made it back to main highway to Tiberius!

Then, we stopped and found a cat that we had seen last year that we all had named Lester.

All in all, it was a very good day filled with awesome adventures of getting terribly lost and great surprises!

Here I am

So, I’m finding this blog thing rather strange…but here goes nothing!

We dragged ourselves out of bed this morning and found out it was raining! Praise God! We visited our friends and ate lunch with them. Tonight we travelled to Nazereth and joined a youth group meeting. We worshiped for several hours and experienced the presence of God very strongly! We sang, “open the flood gates of heaven and let it rain!” When we finished the meeting we came outside and it was pouring!

Even in Israel my family continues the tradition of eating pizza after long meetings We ate at a Jewish pizza place in Tiberius with some of the youth I’ll be living with soon. The Lord is really moving over here, and I am so happy to become apart of it in 2 weeks! But my heart is still with all of you that I left behind, I’m praying the Lord falls on you guys very strongly!

Dear family and friends,

This Monday begins an adventure for me! I will be traveling to Israel for about 6 months to intern at a 24/7 worship center, a Christian news network and at the end a stay with friends at their ministry house. I can’t wait to discover all the things God has in store for me over there, but I will miss you all extremely!
